Species identification
Metabarcoding is a DNA-based technique used to identify and analyze multiple species in a sample by sequencing specific genetic markers, known as barcodes. These barcodes are unique to each species, allowing for the detection of a wide range of organisms, including bacteria, fungi, plants, and animals, from environmental samples like soil, water, or air. The sequences are then compared to reference databases to provide a detailed profile of the species present, offering insights into biodiversity and ecosystem health.
Our metabarcoding service offers precise and highly sensitive identification and classification of a wide range of organisms. The service covers DNA amplification, library preparation, sequencing on Illumina's MiSeq platform, and advanced bioinformatics to deliver detailed insights into food safety, biodiversity and ecosystem health.

Service
We provide optional bioinformatics such as metabarcoding profiling.
Optional DNA isolation service: Please refer to our DNA isolation guide. Please note that we do not accept samples with higher biosafety level than S2. GMOs are only accepted with S1 level.
